Welcome to Camden Education Nursing Assistant Training Program!  Camden Education's Nursing Assistant Program adheres to all requirements and policies of both the Ohio Department of Health as well as the policies of the clinical site facilities. This state-approved Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program provides instruction and hands-on experience in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings. These skills will prepare students with the skills required to employ in long-term care facilities as well as many other health care settings. Skills will include resident rights, infectious control, all areas of personal care, safety measures, communication, proper body mechanics, mental health, care impaired, basic nursing skills, roles and responsibility, disease process, older adult growth, observation/data collection as well as documentation.

The mission and philosophy of Camden Education is to focus on the student as well as the patient. The goal expectation of the student is that they will conduct themselves in a professional manner while communicating effectively providing skills necessary to perform care while being a qualified member of the healthcare team. The student's learning experience will be a beginning step towards a continuation of growth and development of the person as a whole while promoting a desire for a lifelong of ongoing learning. Camden Education thrives on providing a learning environment that provides a meaningful learning experience. The health care consumer can be assured that the nursing assistant student will work within their scope of practice under the observation and guidance of their instructor to provide them with their basic nursing needs with strict regard to Resident/Patient Rights and Safety, confidentiality, and medical asepsis. The student will promote and preserve the dignity and worth of the healthcare consumer regardless of age, race, sex, color, religious beliefs or creed. Finally, the student will assist to maintain and improve, whenever possible, the level of comfort and ability to promote and preserve the highest level of care to the healthcare consumer while promoting a quality of life.
